Professional Achievement

Ms Tehmina Zehra has been fulfilling her responsibilities at DPS as a Sports Teacher at the Primary Section since 2013. In May 2018 she had an amazing opportunity to travel to Australia sponsored by Cairns Hockey Club to participate in the Hockey Premier League as a goalkeeper and end player which lasted for four months.

While sharing her experience she expressed: “I was overwhelmed at this unique chance to be the second Pakistani player participating in Premier League by representing Brother Club. Indeed it was one of the most unique experiences a player can ever dream of.”

Prior trainings are one of the essential elements for any sports activity. Without being physically fit it is quite impossible for any player to confront the opposite team and participate efficiently. Ms Tehmina Zehra feels fortunate to have attended these fitness and skill trainings from International goalkeepers ‘Terry Brodin’ and David McNeil’ which played a vital role in her professional growth as a goal keeper.

In Cairns, Australia she also got an opportunity to visit the local schools and to be involved in community. She coached the students, age 3 to 13, about the rules and techniques of Hockey.

Proudly representing Pakistan, Ms Tehmina offered valuable contribution to her team, Brothers Club which ranked 3rd in the Hockey Premier League.

DPS is immensely proud to have such a competent sports teacher amongst us. We wish Ms Tehmina Zehra even more success in her future endeavors.
