World Wildlife Fund Spellathon 2013-2014:

  A Spellathon competition was organized on 19th December, 2013 for the secondary and primary section students of Dawood Public School by WWF.  
The objective of this competition was to raise awareness and understanding of pressing environmental issues, develop a sense of responsibility and love for nature.  It also aimed at making students aware of the importance of safe potable water, environmental sanitation; solid waste management and improving vocabulary and comprehension skills.  Green Students of grade II to IX participated in the competition. They were provided with booklets according to their levels related to the theme. These booklets collectively contained a vast wealth of information and questions to ponder about ecology in general and environmental challenges in particular. A written test of comprehension and spellings was taken, in which students performed excellently well. Later the WWF team arranged a puppet show the puppet characters were interesting they discussed the importance of proper diet and exercise for a healthy life style.
A Lucky Draw was also held for the participants of Spellathon. Ramisha Sohail, of class VI D won a bicycle.
Participation Certificates will be awarded to all the participants.
DPS and WWF-Pakistan hope to continue working together to make our country and the world a better place to live.
