Independence Day 2017:

  The students of Dawood Public School (DPS) celebrated 70th Independence Day of Pakistan, along with the students of Khatoon-e-Pakistan Government School and Rahat-e-Islamia Government School (adopted by The Dawood Foundation).

The program commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran and welcome by the Principal.
To acknowledge the efforts of our great heroes, Dawoodians prepared a timeline of our national heroes by attiring as Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, Fatima Jinnah, Liaquat Ali Khan, Rana Liaquat Ali, Sir Syed Ahmed, Abdul Sattar Edhi, Bilquis Edhi, Sami Ullah, Jawed Miandad, Naseem Hameed, Jahangir Khan, Bushra Ansari, Aisam Ul Haq, Noor Jahan, Abida Parveen, Nusrat Fateh Ali, Reshma, Amjad Sabri, Dr Ruth Pfau and Allama Iqbal.

The ceremony brought with it a new sense of patriotism and renewed in the hearts of every person present, love and utmost respect for the  founding fathers of Pakistan who worked relentlessly to give       Pakistanis a homeland and an identity and our contemporary heores who portray the progressive Pakistan image to the world’. The stunning participation by Rahat e Islamia Shool students proved TDF’s endevours in grooming and providing exposure to govt school students.

What made the whole display a complete success was the amazingly organized portrayal of the personalities enthusiastic Dawoodians represented. By the end of the display, there was not a single person who did not feel touched and had a new sense of admiration for all the brave men whose ambition in life was to gain freedom for Pakistan.

The backup vocals of 'Milli naghmay' sung by DPS choir, ispired and renewed hope, promises and high aspirations. The flag hoisting was gripping... students chanted the Anthem and the National and School flag were raised to full mast invoking patriotic feelings in all.

The theme of the day was ‘Sharing is Caring’. DPS aims to nurture its students as compassionate and patriotic members of the community. Our students were hosts to the fun filled program in which guest students of the Rahat e Islamia Girls Government School and Khatoon-e-Pakistan School participated. The program included storytelling sessions, game stalls and class party,

Dawood Public School’s Independence Day celebration was awe inspiring.
