Fruit Day:

On Tuesday, April 23rd, 2013 Fruit Day was organized in the Pre-Primary Section. Morning presentation was conducted by the teacher she discussed about the importance of different fruits their color, taste and texture and that fruits give energy and help us to be active and healthy. Fruit salad was prepared in the classes with the help of the students and was served to all. They relished the refreshing dessert. As a part of the creative Art activity they sketched fruits and made fruit cut outs to take home as gifts. KG II students wrote brief write ups on their favorite fruit which were displayed in their respective classes.

This activity provided an opportunity to the students to taste a variety of fruits for which they had an aversion. They were encouraged by their fellow peers and teachers t to eat all fruits.

This activity was planned to encourage the preschoolers to include fruits in their diet and to enhance their vocabulary and knowledge about different fruitse.
