English Language Proficiency Programme:

┬áDPS believes in continuous professional development of its teaching staff through regular in-service workshops and training programs. Effective English Language skills are imperative not only for students but also for teachers. In lieu of this, an English Language Proficiency Programs has been initiated for teachers from the Pre-Primary, Primary and Secondary Sections. The main aim of this 30-hour training program is to enable the teachers to not only enhance their own English Language skills but also to acquire and keep at par with the current teaching and learning methodologies. The areas to be achieved through this program include all four language skills, social interaction/communication strategies and skills, better pronunciation and phonology and self learning strategies to enhance their students’ as well as their own language skills. Being an ongoing professional development initiative, this course will culminate in June 2015.
