Trp to India

Our school participated in a program with India titled ‘Exchange for Change’. The aim of this program was to initiate the youth of both the countries to clear the existing perception, improve relations, spread peace and unity for the betterment and prosperity of both the countries.
The program spread over a span of two years commencing from 2012 where students of both the countries exchanged letters and post cards, made innovative posters about food, monuments and festivals of their respective countries. The final round was a visit to India. The selection of students was based on the excellence of the essay they wrote on the topic ‘My neighbor: India’ Payal Ramesh and Warisha Murad were selected for the trip.
The trip of nine days commenced from 7th February and ended on 14th February 2015.It was a worthwhile experience. The Pakistani delegation of 30 students, 15 teachers and 5 CAP representatives visited two Indian schools where students were thrilled to interact with their Indian counterparts. They visited historical sites such as The Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Qutub Minar, Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal,Jamai Masjid and Humayun’s Tomb. They also visited the Rashtrapathi Bhavan and Pakistan High Commission. It was a memorable experience that will be cherished for ever.
