Story Telling Session:

(Pre-Primary Section)

Storytelling teaches children a lot about the way life works. Through stories, they hear about characters that are good and bad. They see a dramatic representation of problems, how characters choose to solve them and the positive and negative consequences of those choices. They meet characters from their own culture and that of others, and become familiar with a range of customs, personalities and view points. It also provides children with the opportunity to practice skills such as listening, making eye contact and taking turns.

Story telling in Pre-Primary has always been a regular practice and hence on 29th and 30th April, 2015 the preschool teachers organized a special STORY TELLING SESSION—through ROLE PLAY  in which students of KG I and KG II participated. Mothers were invited to witness the event and encourage children for their efforts.
English and Urdu stories were selected for the performance. Children enacted the stories of “Bolta Darakht” and “Gruffalo” they presented a tableau on Lab pe ati hai dua”. The event was appreciated and enjoyed a lot.

It was the last link of Motivational Reading Program which had started in January 2015 and culminated with the exceptional story telling session.
