SUPARCO Seminar:

On 20th October, the team of Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) organised a seminar for grade of IX and X.
The SURPACO team presented an introduction to GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System).Using an interactive and a very exciting approach, they sparked the enthusiasm of students by conducting short quizzes and awarding a souvenir for the correct answer.  Students were briefed about the significance of navigation that informs a person in all weather conditions about the time and place at which he is located. Furthermore, the difference between Global Positioning System (GPS) and Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) was discussed.  The presentation demonstrated how through satellites a person  can be located. They also shed light on the common Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) system of USA, Russia, EU and China.
This informative two hour session, briefed the students of the importance of satellites, their usage and applications.
