Independence Day Celebrations:

To inculcate the spirit of freedom and unity, Independence Day was celebrated on 29th August 2013. All sections of the school from pre-primary up to A-level’s participated in the event.
The theme for this year was “Colors of Diversity:  Urban and Rural Pakistan”. Students, teachers and all other staff members were dressed up in traditional and modern outfits displaying the beauty of a diversified culture. The ceremony commenced with the recitation and translation of surah Ra’ad followed by the National Anthem and flag hoisting.  The program included speeches, songs, tableaus and skits. The pre-primary students paid tribute to the great historical personalities Fatima Jinnah, Laiquat Ali Khan, Allama Iqbal and Maulana Mahammad Ali in a skit titled “Youm-e-Azadi” followed by a patriotic song. Students of primary section presented a tableau titled ‘Hum Ek Hain’ highlighting the importance of unity.  Students of secondary section delivered speeches commemorating the day when Pakistan achieved its independence. A play written and enacted by students of secondary section on the importance and need for girl’s education received thunderous applause from the audience. A Level students presented a thought provoking dialogue between Quaid-e-Azam and a present day common man.
The colourful and captivating ceremony concluded with the closing remarks by the Principal. She emphasized the importance of celebrating Independence Day, of appreciating the freedom provided by living in a free country; and lauded the efforts of the students, teachers and staff on the execution of a successful event. The best dressed student, teacher, admin staff and menial staff were given prizes. Certificates were also distributed among runners up in all categories.
