FAREWELL 2016:

The Annual Farewell Party for the outgoing batch of 2016 was held on March 14th, 2016. This was organized by the students of Grade X. The vibrant event themed “Spectrum” commenced with an opening speech by Fabiha Moin of X SA. The hosts and the guests were elegantly dressed and lent colour to the party. Class X presented beautifully decorated souvenirs to the outgoing batch inscribed with a title unique to their personal charisma. Later class XI presented exceptional titles, as a tribute and token of respect to all the faculty members. Amidst such respectful gestures, the energetic performances of the students of grade X, added life to the event. The performance was evocative of a distinct school memory which reminded everyone of what a golden era school life is. Following suit, Grade XI also presented a tongue-in-cheek comedy Qawwali performance which had the audience rolling over with laughter. In a pleasantly surprising turn of events Aimen Tameezuddin and Areeba Fatima, on behalf of the graduating batch, extended their appreciation to all the domestic staff for their untiring service.

Finally the highly awaited exclusives were announced, the ‘Ms Commerce’ title was conferred on Ramsha Murad of XI C, ‘Ms. Science’ title went to Mahnoor Ahmed of XI SA and Areeba Fatima of XI SA was crowned ‘Ms DPS’. Areesha Zafar for her elegant dressing, poise and grace was declared the ‘Lady of the Evening’. Some prominently successful students of the outgoing batch were given the ‘Cream of the Batch’ titles.

An extremely emotional video made by Dania Riaz, Musfirah Saleem, Abeer Siddiqui and Aimen Irfan was screened in the end. This was an emotional moment for the graduating batch as this was reminiscent of all the wonderful times they’ve had at DPS. ┬áThe event concluded with the closing speech by Asma Riaz, the Head Girl and the lighting of the lanterns.

The Principals O and A levels, the In-charges, the Ex Principal and the faculty graced the occasion. The event was supervised by the Activity coordinator and Discipline in-charge, who guided the students in organizing the event. The party was wrapped up with a tantalizing dinner.
