Night Festival Proceeds, Donated to Teach for Pakistan:

 Students of Dawood Public School are actively engaged in social service. They collect funds through the year and donate the amount in the form of cash or kind to institutions working for a humanitarian cause. As a part  of the social service program ,DPS organizes an “Annual Carnival” which is a festive affair organized by students, parents, teachers and the management. The proceeds of the carnival are donated every year for a cause. in the year 2011 the beneficiaries of the proceeds  were the “Patient Welfare Association of Sind Medical College & Dow Medical College”; in 2012 students donated the amount to “Indus Hospital”. Last year, 2013 the amount was donated to the victims of “Thar Drought” in the form of kind. This year an amount of 5, 00,000/- collected has been donated to Teach for Pakistan.

Teach for Pakistan is Aman Foundation’s initiative. Aman Foundation is a non profit organization. It focuses on health care, education, sustainable livelihoods and capacity building of the under privileged. It is a nation wide movement of graduates and young professionals who commit two years to teach in under resourced public schools and become life long leaders working across all sectors to end educational inequality.
