Every student aims for a well established career which will not only satisfy her worldly requirements but something which she could enjoy while doing. Keeping this in mind, Dawood Public School organized a career counseling session for the senior students of the school
on 8th February 2010. At the session renowned people from different fields gave presentations about the requirements and future possibilities of their respective professions. The session started with a presentation by chartered accountants. They not only introduced different courses related to Accounting, but also enlightened us with different fields branching out from Accounts and Finance.
Another presentation was given by Mr. Aamyre Tarique who is the head of Wardrobe for Dawn News. He conducted a very absorbing interactive session which aroused an interest in Fashion Designing, Talent and Learning. He also made the students realize that they can acquire skills even if they do not have the talent.
Next came a young and a very ambitious man, Jonathan Mark Tatti who is currently working as a sales manager of SAMAA TV. His thoughtful and meaningful talk accompanied by some humour kept the students attentive towards him. The special thing about this speaker was that he motivated the students to opt for a career in which they have interest and talent. Lastly we had the opportunity to meet one of the unique persons of Pakistan named Tofiq Pasha who is not only a horticulturist and an environmentalist, but also a landscaper. He introduced a field which was relatively new for all. He not only inspired the students with his experience, but his sincere attitude toward his profession motivated them too.
To sum up, the session concluded successfully and it helped the students to make the right choice for their career.
